On Spline, you can create different types of lights to generate different types of illumination for your scene. To create a light, press the ”+” icon on the Toolbar and choose between one of the available lights:
  • Directional Light
  • Point Light
  • Spot Light

Each light contains both shared and unique properties.

Default Lighting

By default, any new scene on Spline already includes a Directional Light and an Ambient Light that sets the default lighting for any object. The properties for the Ambient Light can be found on the Environment panel on the right sidebar. While this works fairly well for basic scenes, it may be something that you want to toggle off or adjust depending on your visual goals for your scene.
