Working with Text

On Spline, text behaves as a 2D object in the 3D space (like a Rectangle). Meaning it can be moved and rotated in the X, Y, and Z axes.

To create text, press the T icon on the Toolbar, and then click, drag, and rotate on the Viewport.

You can also change the following text parameters on the Text Panel:

  • Color, font family, horizontal and vertical alignment, case, font size, line height, and letter spacing

Turning your 2D text into a 3D object is possible by going into the Text panel and pressing the "Convert to Shape" button.

This will turn your text into individual vector shapes that you can easily turn into 3D objects by adding extrusion on the Shape Panel.

Working with text in 3D is fun! Here is an example of what you can achieve with it!
